Caught in the middle of a showdown between opposition forces and the Syrian army many Christians fear the prospect of an Islamist-led government if President Bashar al-Assad is deposed. On July 11 Maximos al-Jamal a Greek Orthodox priest negotiated a deal between armed rebels and the army to evacuate 63 Christians caught in the crossfire in the bombed-out city of Homs the Associated Press reports. Al-Jamal feared that as army attacks intensified rebels were keeping Christians in the city as bargaining chips As al-Jamal told the Associated Press "Gunmen have told the besieged people that if you go out of these areas we will die."
Before Syria's uprising began early last year thousands of Christians lived in Homs. Today however according to al-Jamal only 100 Christian civilians remain a loss that probably contributed more to rebel attacks against Christians than the army's bombardment of the city. "The armed [rebels] in Syria [have] murdered more than 200 Christians in the city of Homs including entire families with young children" a priest in Homs told Barnabas Aid magazine. "These gangs kidnapped Christians and demanded high ransoms. In two cases after the ransoms were paid the men's bodies were found." The evacuation of Christians from Homs is only the latest occurrence in a mass exodus of Christians from Syrian cities. In June nearly 10000 Christians fled Qusayr after being given an ultimatum to leave the city by a rebel commander Barnabas Aid reported. The threat was apparently echoed in the city mosques "Christians must leave Qusayr within six days ending Friday (June 8)." Rebels however denied the accusations; they claimed that Christians began fleeing months earlier when the army shelled the city. Many Syrian Christians considered loyal to President Assad are afraid that rebel groups—widely led by Islamists—will persecute non-Muslims and stifle religious freedoms. Historically Christians have been granted a higher degree of freedom in Syria than in most other Middle Eastern countries. Despite reports of massive violence initiated by the regime many Syrian Christians still believe that Assad is their final hope for a peaceful existence.
"Christians are increasingly being targeted and driven out of their homes and districts." Elizabeth Kendal wrote for the Religious Liberty Prayer Bulletin. "Some 138000 Christians have fled Homs where Christians have been terrorised and churches have been looted and occupied by rebel forces… In areas under rebel control intolerant hard-line Sunni fundamentalism is making Muslim-Christian coexistence impossible. For the jihadists neutrality is not an option and Christians (and Muslims) refusing to support the jihad are being tortured expelled and murdered." As in Egypt Tunisia and other Arab countries the uprisings in Syria—which initially called for democratic change and greater freedoms—provided a platform for Islamists long-suppressed under authoritarian rule to rally behind a fundamentalist agenda. "For the newest generation of Sunni jihadists Syria has become the latest front in the struggle to wrest control of the region from rival religious sects and foreign occupation" Daniel Brode Roger Farhat and Daniel Nisman intelligence analysts at Max-Security Solutions wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times. "Many of these fighters hail from the vast reaches of North Africa and the Gulf arriving in Syria with weapons funds and a radical ideology."
Asia News quoting Kuwait's Arabic-language newspaper Al-Qabas reported that "jihadists" from Kuwait Saudi Arabia Algeria and Pakistan "crossed the Syrian-Turkish border to fight in the jihad alongside [opposition forces]… against the regime of Bashar el Assad." Moreover Agenzia Fides the official Vatican news agency reported that "armed opposition… is gradually radicalizing towards Sunni extremist ideology." In another report Agenzia Fides stated that Syria's Salafis—who follow the strict Wahhabi doctrine of Islam found in Saudi Arabia—are carrying out "brief executions" against Christian "infidels" while initiating a "sectarian war". These Christians are given a choice to either join the opposition or face "harassment discrimination [and] violence." As war continues without resolution there is grave concern that Syrian Christians will follow the path of other ancient Christian communities throughout the Middle East In Iraq after the US-led invasion in 2003 more than half the Christian population—caught between Sunni and Shia sectarianism— fled the country. In Egypt reports indicate that since March 19 2011 after the political rise of Islamic parties including the Muslim Brotherhood at least 93000 Christians have sought visas to Western countries. The endangered status of Christians in Arab countries is so severe that Ken Blackwell a human rights expert and board member of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty wrote that "Christians are being ethnically cleansed throughout the Middle East." "Look at what happened in Egypt and Iraq" a Syrian church leader who asked to remain anonymous told International Christian Concern. "Christians want to peacefully go out and ask for certain changes but Islamist groups are sneaking in with their goal which is not to make changes for the betterment of Syria but to take over the country with their agenda. Christians will be the first to pay if this happens."

The Iranian government is said to be launching a new wave of persecution against Christians. According to the Daily Caller the regime has ordered Iranian intelligence to infiltrate church groups in major Iranian cities. Agents are identifying pastors and other Christians targeting them for arrest and torture in prison.
Former member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Reza Kahlili verified the crackdown. He said Iran's ayatollahs are frustrated with the large number of Muslims who are now embracing Christianity. Kahlili is author of A Time to Betray. He wore a disguise to protect his identity. Below you read the transcription of the interview:
Q Reza Thanks for joining us. What can you tell us about this latest crackdown? How extensive is it? A It's been an order to the Iranian intelligence apparatus specifically the guard's intelligence to monitor the activities of Iranians for converting to Christianity to suppress them make arrests terrify them and finally to torture them. And according to a source within the guard's intelligence they have tens of thousands of files for Iranians for converting to Christianity. This is a big concern for the government. They don't know how to handle it. In one city just the city of Shiraz with over one million population according to the source they have thirty thousand files of Iranians who they have confirmed that they have converted to Christianity. But the source says that tens of thousands more are unknown to the intelligence apparatus. Q How is this recent effort different from the ongoing attacks that Christians have faced from the Iranian government over the years?
Well let me make one thing clear. Before the Islamic revolution many in Iran the youth the elderly though they did not adhere to the Islamic rules or practice Islam they respected Islam. But today that respect is visibly gone and they oppose the religion and what it prescribes. They are very outspoken about it. People are joining the move to convert to the Christianity. Q Give us some examples; can you say specifically what is happening against the Christians there? A Well according to this source who himself was in the intelligence unit and he saw and he witnessed some of the tortures being done. What they do they raid homes where teachings are taking place they arrest them they are taken and sometimes they beat their wives in front of their eyes to break them down to force them to come before television and make false confessions. The source says that one of those arrested a male after three months in total darkness and then he was all of a sudden brought to the courtyard where he immediately lost his eye-sights. So it is unimaginable what they do with the Christian converts. Khamenei the Iranian supreme leader ordered the guards to burn ten thousand of confiscated Bibles saying that it is not a holy book and therefore it is legal to burn them in order to stop the conversion.
Mohabat News believes the above interview indicates the anxiety of the Iranian security organization and government officials about the increasing growth of Christianity among the people of Iran. The issue has become so serious that some prominent clerics complained about this increasing tendency toward Christianity and warned their fellow Mullahs about the significant trend of the youth toward Christianity in Qom which is recognized as the spiritual capital of the Islamic Republic. This anxiety as well as the enormous growth of house churches impacted Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader to the extent that in his nine day trip to Qom on October 19 2010 he reluctantly acknowledged this growth and spoke about the regime's decision to deal with false mysticisms and house churches. Muslims in Syria have butchered 400 people in mass killing fields and have also impregnated 3000 women through sex jihad. We have learned this information through our Middle East contact Sister Hatune Dogan who we partnered with in order to rescue Christians in Syria and Iraq Turkey and Jordan.
"Abd Alluhud tells his story driving to his farm taking the regular route near Idlib and what he sees was so horrific; hundreds of bodies on the side of the road all decapitated" so reports Sister Hatune Dogan to Shoebat.com after she came back from her mission to aid Christians in Turkey where she interviewed several Christian refugees who came out of Syria.
Terrified of what he witnessed Alluhud later decided to take the long route to avoid the horrific scene. What he saw was the same hundreds more bodies lined the road with dogs consuming the carcasses of slaughtered victims for whom the jihadist group Da'ish would dig a small pit slice the neck and drain the neck in the pit making sure the bodies are bowing in the form of submission.

Alluhud is now getting treatment in Turkey. He looses control and slams his fist to the point that it's fractured.

Sister Hatune tells the story of 19 year old Muhammad A. who decided to defect after seeing his mate blow himself up in a suicide operation in Hidaya Hotel in Qamishlo on March 11 2014 which killed 3 Christians amongst others.
Muhammad who was designated to be the third to detonate lost hope that a martyr could be with virgins after seeing that the body of his previous suicide martyr colleague did not have his genital parts due to the explosion. "He was so distressed" Hatune reported to Shoebat.com and "I didn't have time enough to share the Good News of the Gospel with him because I know he would be willing to leave Islam" she said regrettably. He told Hatune of the training centers in Orfa Ghazi Antab and Antakia (Antioch) set up by the Turkish government for more terrorists to be sent to Syria.
They have set up the "Khuda (God) Party" which is aligned with Daish (ISIS) composed of Kurdish rebels and foreigners. In many mosques the call of the Imam was to send young girls for Jihad Nikah (pleasure marriages) for the fighters. Hatune told Shoebat.com that at least 3000 girls have been sent home pregnant and new waves of fresh shipment will be sent to sexually encourage the fighters.

Christians have been reduced from 4 to 1.5 million in Syria. In Raqa where the ISIS (The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) have completely taken over and there are virtually no Christians left. Sounding church bells has been outlawed and non-Sunnis must pay 17 grams of gold for Jizzieh tax. Anyone who fails to pay they must then provide a daughter and if no daughter is available his wife. One Shiite lady who failed to cover her arms was given 40 lashes in public.
"All the reports about U.N. relief to Christians is failing" said Dogan adding "out of all the trucks very little was sent to Christians the Kurds and others got everything."
While the world neglects the poor Christians in the Middle East Rescue Christians made sure that they received generous provisions and care. Dogan sent donations provided her by Rescue Christians ensuring every victim was Christian.
"We also rescued 2 more kidnapped Christians on this trip" she told us joyfully. The Christians were sold to Kurds who sold them at a $1000 each to Dogan's affiliates.

La Russia è preoccupata per l'ulteriore deterioramento della situazione politica in Ucraina. Lo ha dichiarato il rappresentante del Ministero degli Esteri russo Aleksandr Lukashevich.
Secondo le sue parole Kiev non vuole avviare il processo di riconciliazione nazionale. La prova di ciò è l'annuncio della fase finale di "operazione anti terroristica".
Lukashevich ha anche evidenziato che non vi sono informazioni sullo stato di avanzamento delle indagini dei tragici eventi di Odessa dove sono state uccise decine di persone. "We also rescued 2 more kidnapped Christians on this trip" she told us joyfully. The Christians were sold to Kurds who sold them at a $1000 each to Dogan's affiliates.
