Ricordate, siamo stati liberati.
Una
storia su cui i francesi non hanno fatto, ancora, tutti i conti. Perché
le cosiddette “marocchinate” non gravano soltanto sulla coscienza dei
goumiers, i soldati irregolari nordafricani al servizio del comando
transalpino e che hanno stuprato donne italiane all’indomani dello
sbarco del 1943. La responsabilità più alta pesa sicuramente sui vertici
militarsi francesi, che concessero loro carta bianca. O meglio:
un’infame patente di immunità. Si tratta di una delle pagine più brutali
della Seconda guerra mondiale, la cui atrocità non è stata del tutto
cauterizzata dalla Ciociara di Alberto Moravia. E neanche dalla
trasposizione cinematografica per la regia di Vittorio De Sica. E
nemmeno dall’iconica interpretazione di Sofia Loren.
Rispetto a
quei giorni non tutto ancora è stato scritto. Non tutto è stato
raccontato. Si tratta del lato oscuro dell’operazione Husky. Nel
frattempo però alcune di quelle testimonianze sono andate
definitivamente perse, perché parte delle vittime si è già congedata dal
questo mondo. Tra loro non solo donne, ma anche giovani ragazzi di
allora. Ci ha messo mano una scrittrice dallo stomaco forte e dalla
solide coordinate storiche e antropologiche. Marinella Fiume ha curato
Le “Ciociare” di Capizzi per i tipi di Iacobelli. Un titolo più che
esplicito per una ricerca che esplora da più aspetti una vicenda carica
di sangue, omissioni e lacerazioni.
Capizzi, luglio 1943. Siamo
tra i Nebrodi, a 1.100 metri di altitudine. Uno dei centri più isolati
della provincia di Messina. Lì vive una comunità di agricoltori,
allevatori e pastori, la cui vita è regolata secondo i ritmi dettati dal
ciclo del grano. Un ciclo “che neanche la guerra doveva fermare, pena
la fame e l’estinzione della comunità intera”. L’arrivo dei goumiers e
delle marocchinate spaccheranno per sempre quell’equilibrio fatto di sì
arretratezza, ma anche di semplicità.
La violenza subita da
Giocomina dice tutto su quelle terribili giornate. “Alta e slanciata
come una Normanna – scrive Marinella Fiume – aveva occhi grandi color
del grano maturo, lunghi capelli castani morbidi di seta, vita sottile,
fianchi ondeggianti e seni sodi che nessuna pesante flanella riusciva a
nascondere. Erano fianchi da cui sarebbero venuti fuori fior di capitini
forti e orgogliosi”.
Cosa le accadde? “Fu il primo giorno
dell’arrivo dei soldati marocchini che entrarono in paese sui cavalli o
zoccolando a piedi, sollevando il rumore fragoroso delle loro tipiche
calzature. Ridevano, e dapprima i paesani pensarono che fossero amici, o
offrirono loro il pane, ma subito si accorsero che si erano sbagliati.
Non ci fu tempo per nascondersi in una grotta. Bussarono rumorosamente
alla porta ma nessuno andò ad aprirla e la famiglia si nascose in tutta
fretta dentro dove poté”.
“Abbatterono la porta – continua la
testimonianza – scovarono Giacomina, erano allegri e sghignazzavano tra
loro, la colpirono con il calcio del moschetto alla testa facendola
cadere a terra priva di sensi, la trasportarono di peso a circa trenta
metri dalla casa e la violentarono in gruppo mentre la madre continuava a
gridare cadendo a terra svenuta e il padre veniva malmenato da altri
soldati, trascinato più in là e legato a un albero, mentre un soldato
rimaneva di guardia con l’arma puntata aspettando il suo turno insieme
con altri…”
Per tantissimo tempo la comunità di Capizzi ha
preferito il silenzio. Ha occultato quelle vicende, quella vergogna. Non
parlarne doveva servire quanto un esorcismo collettivo unanimemente
accettato. Da quelle violenze sono nati anche dei figli, mentre alcuni
stupratori sono stati nell’immediato linciati dai capitini e dati
letteralmente in pasto ai porci.
Alla fine, l’obiettivo dei conquistatori e imbastardire la razza dei conquistati. E’ così da sempre.
Oggi
le marocchinate sono quasi consigliate dalle autorità. Avvengono in
modo volontario. Perché l’immigrazione di massa è, alla fine, solo un
grande stupro collettivo.

scientists have discovered the earth’s magnetic field on the 9th of Av,
586 BCE, revealing the immensity of the destruction of Jerusalem and the
First Temple by the Babylonians. Every year on the 9th of Av, Tisha
B’Av, Jews around the world remember the destruction of the First and
Second Temples. Thanks to the long historic memory of the Jewish People,
and the archaeological findings that were discovered at the City of
David, researchers from Tel Aviv University, the Hebrew University and
the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) have been able to measure earth’s
magnetic field in August of the year 586 BCE – revealing the immensity

Fluctuations in the earth’s magnetic
field have been defined by Albert Einstein as one of the five great
mysteries of physics. The magnetic field that surrounds the earth is
invisible, yet it plays an important role in the planet’s life. It
serves as a screen that protects earth from radiation coming in from
outer space, enabling life to develop and flourish, and is used as a
navigation tool by humans, birds and marine mammals. Despite its
importance, however, we know very little about earth’s magnetic field:
How is it generated by the planet’s core? How and why does it fluctuate?
And how do its fluctuations impact earth’s atmosphere?

To answer these
questions and explain the magnetic field’s enigmatic behavior,
geophysicists try to reconstruct its behavior during periods before
direct measurements began. For this purpose, they can use archaeological
findings – such as pottery shards, bricks, roof tiles and furnaces –
that ‘recorded’ the magnetic field as they were burned. These findings
contain magnetic minerals that were re-magnetized in accordance with the
direction and magnitude of the field at that specific point in time –
providing a window into the history of earth’s magnetic field. The
destruction of Jerusalem, dated 9th of Av 586 BCE, can serve as an
exceptional chronological anchor for archaeomagnetic dating – accurate
down to a single day. In the process of an archaeological excavation
conducted at the City of David National Park, at a place formerly known
as the Givati parking lot, excavators found a grand public structure
with a high-quality plaster floor. The directors of the excavation, Dr.
Yiftah Shalev of the IAA and Prof. Yuval Gadot of Tel Aviv University,
explained that they dated the destruction of the structure to 586 BCE –
the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians, based on smashed
pottery vessels typical of the end of the First Temple period, found on
the floor. Apart from the broken utensils, they found signs of burning
and large quantities of ashes. The findings are reminiscent of the 2nd
Book of Kings chapter 25 verse 9: “And he burnt the house of the Lord,
and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great
man’s house he burnt with fire.”
In this particular “important
building” that burned down, excavators found a large section of floor
that had collapsed from the top story – and by measuring the magnetic
field recorded in this fragment the researchers were able to reveal
earth’s magnetic field at the time of the fire. Ph.D. student Yoav
Vaknin of TAU sampled fragments of flooring scattered around the site
and measured the magnetic field recorded in them at the Paleomagnetic
Laboratory of the Institute of Earth Sciences at the Hebrew University.
“The purpose of this study was twofold,” says Vaknin. “One goal was to
rediscover the direction and magnitude of the magnetic field on the day
of Jerusalem’s destruction. The other was to understand what the
magnetic data recorded in the floor fragments can tell us about the
destruction itself. Even without measuring the magnetic field, we could
assume that this grand building was destroyed in the event of the
destruction of the First Temple, but the magnetic measurements proved
that the building had been burned down, at a temperature higher than
932F, probably intentionally, and that the floor, supported by massive
wooden beams, had collapsed during the fire.” “We drew this conclusion
from the fact that most of the floor’s fragments, cooling down after the
collapse, recorded the same magnetic direction – regardless of their
arbitrary position after falling from above. We were able to link the
destruction of Jerusalem with the recording of earth’s magnetic field,
thereby contributing to both geophysical and archaeological research.
This is truly extraordinary,” he added.

archaeomagnetic method also has implications for future research. If
researchers find a similar destruction layer with similar pottery at
another site tomorrow, they will be able to compare the magnetic fields
recorded at the two different sites, enabling them to determine whether
the other site was also destroyed by the Babylonians. Dr. Ron Shaar, of
the Institute of Earth Sciences at the Hebrew University, noted that
“measuring magnetic data from a floor burned thousands of years ago is
no trivial matter. We had to characterize the magnetic particles,
understand how the magnetic data was coded in the material, and develop
measuring techniques enabling us to read this data. Nature hasn’t made
life easy for us. ” A significant part of the analytical work done at
the paleomagnetic lab is investigating the magnetic properties of the
archaeological materials. “Fortunately, in this particular study, Yoav
was able to decipher nature’s magnetic code and give us important
information from several angles: historic, archaeological and
geomagnetic,” he said. Vaknin concluded that “in order to reveal the
magnetic field we need sources of information from well-anchored points
in history. We very rarely have a historical event that occurred
thousands of years ago that we can date so accurately – down to the
year, month and even day, like the destruction of Jerusalem.” He
emphasized that that “despite the dispute about the overall historical
validity of the Old Testament, the description of the events that
occurred in the Kingdom of Judea during its last 100 years was written
almost in real-time – and the biblical text is generally considered
reliable for this period.” The destruction of the First Temple is
corroborated by numerous archaeological findings from the Land of Israel
in general and Jerusalem in particular, such as royal storage jars with
rosette stamped handles and seals and seal impressions with names
mentioned in the biblical text.

Caro lorenzoJHWH, è compito dell’Osservatorio sulla Cristianofobia
denunciare ogni atto di persecuzione a danno dei cristiani. È quello che
faccio oggi, aggiornandoti sui crescenti, vergognosi e soprattutto
insabbiati atti di persecuzione a scapito dei cristiani in Nigeria. La
notizia in seguito dovrebbe fare i titoli dei telegiornali, invece
niente. Si preferisce parlare di altro! Ecco quanto riporta il Morning
Star News – l’agenzia americana di difesa dei cristiani perseguitati –
su quanto è successo nello Stato del Borno, nella Nigeria
nord-orientale, lo scorso mese: altri cinque lavoratori sono stati
giustiziati dagli estremisti islamici. Secondo uno dei carnefici, le
esecuzioni sono state in rappresaglia per i presumibile sforzi di
proselitismo: “Uno avvertimento a tutti coloro che vengono utilizzati
dagli infedeli [i cristiani] per convertire i musulmani al
cristianesimo”. L’esecuzione è stata diffusa in un video di 35 secondi
pubblicato su YouTube da Eons Intelligence prima che fosse rimosso. Tre
dei lavoratori uccisi sono stati identificati come cristiani. Militanti
dello Stato Islamico al momento dell’esecuzione dei lavoratori a Borno
(immagine di schermo, Morning Star News) Lo stesso carnefice afferma nel
video: “Ti chiediamo di tornare ad Allah diventando musulmani. […] Se
non ascolti il nostro avvertimento, il destino di questi cinque
individui sarà il tuo destino”. In un precedente video registrato il 21
giugno, i carnefici sono stati identificati come membri dello Stato
Islamico della Provincia dell’Africa Occidentale (ISWAP), una fazione
separata di Boko Haram, l’altro gruppo terrorista estremista islamico
nigeriano. Dei tre cristiani uccisi, uno lavorava per Halogen, una
società di sicurezza privata, l’altro per l’ong Action Against Hunger e
il terzo per l’Ong International Rescue Committee. Sia Action Against
Hunger che l’International Rescue Committee hanno confermato la morte
dei loro cooperatori. Riguardo gli altri due nigeriani uccisi, uno
lavorava per l’agenzia statale nigeriana Emergency Management e l’altro
per una società di nome Rich International. Già a gennaio ultimo, questo
stesso gruppo islamico radicale aveva giustiziato uno studente
universitario cristiano, Ropvil Daciya Dalep. E sempre a gennaio, i
terroristi di Boko Haram hanno ucciso un altro cristiano, il Rev. Lawan
Andami. Malgrado il fatto che il presidente della Nigeria, Mohammad
Buhari, abbia espresso le sue condoglianze alle famiglie degli uccisi,
il governo nigeriano è imputato di non fare il sufficiente per
proteggere i cristiani. Il coordinatore umanitario delle Nazioni Unite
in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, ha espresso shock: “Condanno fermamente tutte
le violenze contro gli operatori umanitari e i civili. […] Le Nazioni
Unite hanno ripetutamente chiesto la fine di tali palesi violazioni del
diritto internazionale umanitario”. Sicuramente sono belle parole. Ma
soltanto le belle parole non bastano, non si vede una condotta chiara e
determinata da parte delle Nazioni Unite – e anche dei paesi occidentali
in generale – per fermare i gruppi radicali islamici che uccidono i
cristiani. Anche perché, il 30 gennaio scorso il Christian Solidarity
International (CSI) aveva già emesso, riguardo alla situazione in
Nigeria, un “avvertimento sul genocidio”, invitando il membri permanenti
del Consiglio di sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite ad agire. Fino adesso, a
conoscenza nostra, le Nazioni Unite non si sono mosse, malgrado una
dichiarazione di condanna da parte della “Commissione degli Stati Uniti
sulla libertà religiosa internazionale”, un ente del governo federale
americano. La crisi di violenza cui sono esposti i cristiani in Nigeria è
drammatica. Più di 600 cristiani sono stati uccisi finora nel 2020,
secondo un rapporto dell'International Society for Civil Liberties and
the Rule of Law. I cristiani sono stati decapitati e incendiati, le
fattorie date alle fiamme, i sacerdoti e seminaristi presi di mira per
il rapimento e il riscatto. La Nigeria si trova al secondo posto,
seconda la World Watch List del 2020 di Open Doors, nel numero di
cristiani uccisi per la fede, dietro soltanto al Pakistan. Mons Matthew
H. Kukah, vescovo di Sokoto, un’importante città di 550.000 abitanti nel
nord della Nigeria, ha affermato “che la situazione nel Paese deriva da
una cultura che ha svalutato il cristianesimo e non si preoccupa più
della fede; […] causata da un Occidente in ritirata per quanto riguarda
